JeffCoLegal Payment Flow (High-Conversion Setup)
This is the exact process to move a prospect from “yes” to paid client with the highest possible close rate.
Step 1: Close the Call
“We can get started right away.”
“I’ll send you the onboarding link—it takes about 2–3 minutes to complete.”
“Once that’s done, we’ll begin building your system.”
Important: Do NOT explain payment here. Keep momentum.
Step 2: Send Onboarding Link Immediately
Send via SMS and/or email:
“Here’s the onboarding link: [YOUR LINK]
It only takes a couple minutes—once that’s done, we’ll get everything moving.”
Timing matters: Send within seconds of the call ending.
Step 3: Onboarding Page Structure
Your /get-started page should include:
- Short intro (set expectations)
- Intake form
- Agreement + billing checkboxes
- Submit button → redirects to payment
DO NOT: Send them to payment first.
Step 4: Redirect to Payment Page
After form submission, automatically redirect to your payment page (Stripe recommended).
Example flow:
- Submit form → Redirect → Stripe Checkout
Step 5: Payment Page Setup
Your payment page should be:
- Clean and distraction-free
- Mobile-friendly
- Pre-set with correct plan pricing
Include:
- Plan name (Starter, Growth, Authority)
- Monthly price
- Simple description
- Recurring billing clearly shown
Step 6: Payment Confirmation
After payment is completed:
- Redirect to Thank You / Confirmation page
- Trigger confirmation email + SMS
Step 7: Confirmation Message
“You’re all set.”
“We’ve received your onboarding and payment.”
“We’re now preparing your client acquisition system and will keep you updated as we move forward.”
Step 8: Internal Action (Your Side)
- Verify payment
- Review intake form
- Send welcome message
- Begin build process
Optional: If They Don’t Pay Immediately
SMS Follow-Up (Same Day)
“Hey [First Name], just wanted to make sure you got the onboarding link.”
“Once you complete it, we can get your system started.”
Next Day Follow-Up
“Hey [First Name], wanted to follow up—still good to move forward?”
Critical Rules (Do Not Break)
- Do NOT delay sending the onboarding link
- Do NOT send multiple separate links
- Do NOT require multiple pages before payment
- Do NOT explain too much after the close
- Keep momentum high
